Before you ask
Questions
What do members get at Christmas?
Your December box is our Christmas Box: the same box, the same contents, included in your normal $99 a month. On its own it’s $199. You only need to buy one separately if you want an extra to give.
Is this a subscription?
Yes. The Offline Box is $99 a month and a new box comes every month until you cancel, which you can do anytime from your account or by replying to any email. If you’d rather not subscribe, see the next question.
Can I buy just one box?
Yes. A single Offline Box is $169, one payment, no subscription. It’s sent as a gift with a handwritten card, and you can post it to anyone in Australia, yourself included. For Christmas there’s also the Christmas Box, $199, one payment.
When will my first box arrive?
Boxes ship in the second half of each month, ready for the month ahead. We deliver Australia-wide and to New Zealand, and we’ll let you know the day yours is on its way.
What do I get each month?
A new theme every month, with a handful of real things to make, grow, read, cook and write, plus a brand-new issue of the magazine with a letter from us inside. The mix changes each month, so no two boxes are the same.
Can I cancel?
Cancel anytime through your account, or reply to any email and we will do it for you. No phone calls, no guilt, no notice period. Cancel before your next charge and you won’t be billed again. The one exception: once your box has been packed or is on its way, that month can’t be refunded — the box is still yours and we’ll still send it. Every box is picked and packed by hand for a named member, so once it’s made up it can’t go back on the shelf.

When am I charged?
You are charged today when you join, then on the same date each month. Your price stays $99 for as long as you are a member.
Do you post everywhere in Australia? What about New Zealand?
Yes, anywhere in Australia — delivery is included in the $99, so there is nothing added at checkout.
We post to New Zealand too. It’s the same box for $99 a month plus $30 NZ shipping, so $129 a month in Australian dollars. Join from New Zealand. New Zealand has strict biosecurity rules, so if a month’s box includes seeds or a food item that can’t cross the border, we swap it for something else.
Can I gift one?
Yes, and you don’t start a subscription to do it. A gift box is $169, one payment, posted to them with your message handwritten on the card. Nothing renews. You can also give three or six months, prepaid.
The one rule
You don't have to be any good at it.
This isn't self-improvement. Nothing in the box needs tracking, optimising or turning into a side hustle. The pot can come out crooked. The bread can come out flat.
It still counts. It was your evening, and you spent it doing something instead of watching someone else do it.
